Teenage boy (17) and woman (26) both killed in separate crashes in Dublin and Galway

Tragic news.

Two young people have been killed in separate crashes in Dublin and Galway.

A 17 year old boy has been killed in Finglas in Dublin and a 26 year old woman was killed in a crash on the Headford to Tuam Road in Galway.

Just before 8 o'clock last night a 17 year old boy was killed when his motorbike collided with a bus at St Margarets in Finglas.

A 50 year-old bus driver was treated for shock at the scene but was uninjured.

While in Galway, the 26 year old woman' was killed and two other people were injured when their car left the road and hit a concrete post.

It happened at a quarter to seven yesterday evening on the Headford to Tuam Road

The driver of the car, a 32 year old man and the front seat passenger, a 28 year old man, have been hospitalised and their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to both crashes.
