Twitter has however opted not to delete the tweet.
Twitter has flagged a tweet by Donald Trump about coronavirus as "spreading misleading and potentially harmful information".
He wrote that the virus is far less lethal than flu in most populations, and that we should learn to live with it:
“Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!”

However the platform hasn't deleted the post, stating that it may be in the public’s interest for it to remain.
The US President was hospitalised with Covid-19 last Friday, however he was discharged on Monday and declared himself today via Twitter to be "feeling great".
