Police think some suspects are still on the run.
A terror attack in the Austrian capital Vienna has left four people dead and 14 injured.
Officials say it was carried out across six locations as people enjoyed the final evening before a coronavirus curfew comes in.
One man has been shot dead by police, who think others may still remain on the run.
It's been revealed that the dead attacker was a 20-year-old with a previous terrorism conviction.
''This is the hardest day for Austria in many years, we're dealing with a terrorist attack, the intensity of which we have thankfully not had to experience in Austria for a very long time'', Interior minister Karl Nehammer said.
EU Council chief Charles Michel tweeted that the bloc “strongly condemns this cowardly act”, with European and global leaders also voicing support for Austria.
Czech police said they were conducting random checks on the border with Austria.
