The body of a 24-year-old man was discovered on Monday night.
A man is due in court this morning charged in connection with the death of 24-year-old Michael McDonagh in Co. Mayo.
Emergency services were called to a house in Carrabeg in Swinford at around 11 on Monday night, where they found Michael McDonagh who had been stabbed.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Mayo University Hospital for a post mortem exam.
Gardai carried out house to house enquiries and have been analysing CCTV footage from the area.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and brought to Castlebar Garda Station for questioning.
He’s now been charged and is due before Castlebar District Court this morning.
