There's warnings of 'falls of hail, sleet and snow'.
Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow and ice warning for five counties, with freezing overnight temperatures on the way.
The first is a snow and ice warning which affects Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo, the forecaster says:
''Wintry showers today (Thursday) and overnight (Thursday night) with falls of hail, sleet and snow. Icy stretches and accumulations of snow in some areas''.
The warning is in place now until 7am tomorrow (Friday) morning.
Meanwhile an ice warning is also in place for Antrim, Tyrone and Derry until 10am tomorrow, with ''travel disruption possible from icy patches''.

Wind warnings.
On top of the snow and ice, counties in the west will also have strong winds to deal with.
Two status yellow wind warnings have also been issued by Met Éireann.
The first is for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim and Mayo, in effect from 11am tomorrow until 11pm.
While later in the afternoon from 4pm, a warning will be in place for Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick until the early hours of Saturday morning.

The forecaster is predicting gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour.
