Brilliant line up for a brilliant cause.
Every now and then an event is held for a truly inspirational cause and Saoírse's Summer Fest is definitely one of those.
Back in December 2019, when she was just 7 years old, Saoírse Ruane from Co. Galway was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called an osteosarcoma tumour, in her tibia.
As part of her treatment Saoírse had to undergo life-changing surgery, having her right leg amputated in order to save her life.
Saoírse’s road to recovery will be a long one, as she requires prostheses which can cost between €5,000 and €30,000.
There have been major fundraising efforts to cover the cost of Saoirse's prostheses and other medical expenses, and a huge part of this is Saoírse's Summer Fest, an online festival of music and comedy that has been months in the making, and will take place on Sunday August 2nd.
It's got a stellar line up, with Kodaline, Keywest, Tadhg Fleming, The Two Johnnies and loads more all on board.
Saoírse and her family are also committed to giving back to the charities and organisations that have helped them on their difficult journey, so money raised through Saoírse's Summer Fest will also go towards the Irish Cancer Society, Crumlin Children's Hospital (St. John's Ward), Hand in Hand, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie and University Hospital Galway (St. Bernadette's Ward).
How you can watch.
You can watch it right here from 3pm on Sunday August 2nd.
It's going to be a extraordinary event for an extraordinary little girl, so make sure you're there!
