The change will happen in December.

Revolut customers are being advised of some changes that will take place in December.

The company is preparing for Brexit and because it is currently licenced in the UK, it will move Irish users' accounts to its business in Lithuania.

In a statement, the company says for most customers who top-up through the app by using their main bank's debit card, there will not be any changes.

However, as Tech Correspondent Jess Kelly explains, for those who have direct debits or get their salary paid to their account, they will need to take action.

''In the interim what you need to know is, if you have any direct debits coming form your Revolut account anything that required you to put the IBAN of your Revolut card in, you will need to update that when this transition happens in 60 days'', she said.

''If however you just use your Revolut card for your petty cash or secondary account and you don't have any direct debits you don't need to do anything''.
