Simon Harris has said the rate is staying relatively stable.

The reproductive rate of the Coronavirus has risen slightly this week and is now estimated to be between 0.4 and 0.8.

Health Minister Simon Harris has said his advice is the rate is staying relatively stable and well below one.

It comes as the government is preparing plans to have almost all aspects of the economy open in July, ahead of schedule.

Speaking today Leo Varadkar said:

“The government is now conducting extensive work on the revised Phase 3 and Phase 4 of the roadmap so we can have the country almost fully opened by the middle of July”.

Currently 25,231 are confirmed to be infected with the virus in Ireland, while 1,695 have lost their lives.
