Heavy downpours and spot flooding are expected.
Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for seven counties, with heavy downpours and spot flooding expected until 2pm Wednesday (this afternoon).
The warning is currently in place for Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Longford, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan.

More than 20 millimetres of rain fell in Dublin in just two hours this morning.
While the weather station at Dublin Airport saw more rainfall between 5 and 6am than it recorded for the whole month of May.
