That's despite 85 cases being recorded yesterday.

The Vintners' Federation of Ireland says there's still 'every chance' all pubs can reopen in ten days' time.

That's despite the 85 cases yesterday, the highest total in two months.

The cabinet will meet next Tuesday to decide whether Phase 4 of the roadmap can go ahead on August 10th.

Paul Moynihan, the incoming president of the VFI, remains confident all pubs will get the green light to open.

''I've seen the numbers yesterday but I don't want people to panic, I don't think we should panic'', he said.

''The rolling 14-day figure is positive and that's the figure that most agencies look at to reopen.

''If that can stay low, I think there's every chance.

''The other side of it is that there's been no clusters associated with the pubs and restaurants that have opened so far''.
