Members of Parliament voted for new legislation on Tuesday evening.
Scotland is the first country in the world to make period products free for all.
It's after Members of Scottish Parliament (MSPs) voted for the new legislation on Tuesday evening.
The historic move ensures that sanitary pads and tampons are freely available for everyone in the country. It's been described as a huge step towards eradicating period poverty there.
MSPs voted on the Sanitary Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Bill. BBC reports the new law means it is now a legal duty for Scottish councils to ensure that free period products are available to "anyone who needs them".
The country will now put aside £9.7 million for free period products, which all women in the country now have a legal right to.
The move follows Scotland's decision in 2018 to give students free access to period products.
