As the DART driver pulled in, her boyfriend was waiting on the platform.
A proposal worthy of any Christmas rom-com took place at Pearse Station in Dublin last night.
As a DART driver was pulling into the station, her boyfriend was waiting on the platform with a bunch of flowers and a sign that said 'will you marry me'.
The crew at the station were also on hand to help out and had music playing on the PA system, leaving surely not a dry eye on the platform.
Irish Rail has congratulated Paula and her new fiance Conor on their engagement and also posted the beautiful moment from Paula's point of view.
? Congratulations to Paula, our DART driver and her fiancé Conor on their engagement - and here’s how Paula saw it unfold as she was driving a northbound DART into Pearse!
? Thanks to DART and Pearse Station teams for helping Conor to make it happen! #pearseproposal https://t.co/RBis8cVCAf pic.twitter.com/YZbHlm74Am— Iarnród Éireann #StaySafe (@IrishRail) December 16, 2020

Didn’t think anything could perk me up after a busy 13hr shift, and some Gent goes and PROPOSES to his GF driving the incoming train at pearse station. ????? @IrishRail #PearseProposal 1/2 pic.twitter.com/wIN0JHPvzV
