Trump's latest tweet states that he won the election.
Barack Obama is calling on US President Donald Trump to put American's first and concede defeat to Joe Biden.
Trump tweeted this morning to say he won the election, which took place almost two weeks ago.
I WON THE ELECTION!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 16, 2020
Over the weekend, he appeared to concede the race to President elect Joe Biden but said he only won because the election was rigged.
Former US President Barack Obama has told CBS news that Donald Trump must do the right thing for the American people:
''It is your job to put the country first and think beyond your own ego, your own interests and your own disappointments'', he said.
''My advice to President Trump is that if you want to be remembered at this late stage, as someone who would put the country first it's time for you to do the same thing''.
He then added that he believes Trump should've conceded the day after the US Election took place.
Trump's stance is having an effect on the incoming administration - as President-elect Joe Biden is not receiving secret national security briefings as Mr. Trump did when he was in the same position 4 years ago.
