Going to keep an eye out?
Stargazers may want to keep an eye on the night sky tonight (Wednesday), because there's a chance the aurora borealis may be visible over parts of Ireland.
Known as the Northern Lights, the natural phenomenon is a major tourist attraction in the Nordic regions of Europe.
But don't expect the exactly the same type of dazzling light show if you do manage to catch a glimpse here.
Astronomy Ireland tweeted yesterday that ''it may be a weak glow on the north horizon but it could become much stronger''.
''There is a chance of a display of the aurora (Northern Lights) on Wednesday night (Dec.9th) all night long.
