It's reported spectator sport will be allowed to return.

The government is finalising its medium-term plan for living with the Coronavirus today. The cabinet sub-committee on COVID will meet this afternoon to discuss it.

The new roadmap will take things up to next April with five levels of restrictions to be announced. One will be the lightest, with level five being close to full lockdown.

It's thought most of the country will be put onto level two when it's announced tomorrow. However, Dublin will be placed on level three with more restrictions around home visits.

The plan will prioritise keeping the schools open through as many of the phases as possible. It will also have guidance so people have a better idea of when they're at risk of further restrictions.

It's thought spectator sport is going to be allowed to return, with possibly as many as 5,000 people to attend games at large venues like Croke Park. Smaller grounds will have attendances capped at 500.

The government is also expected to adopt a new system for international travel being developed by the European Commission. Meanwhile, a new government oversight body is to be set up to consider the advice from NPHET and whether it's workable for wider society. The Tánaiste has said that will mean taking longer over health advice rather than rushing into decisions.
