It comes as Covid-19 cases continue to rise around the country, with the incidence rate over the last 14 days now at 96.3.

Lifford-Stranorlar in Donegal now has an incidence rate of 602.6 over the last 14 days, with the Monaghan LEA now above 200. County Monaghan as a whole has an incidence rate of 166, which is higher than in Dublin but less than Donegal. There are now 117 with Covid-19 in hospital which is slightly lower than in recent days, 19 of those are being treated in ICU.

NPHET's switch of focus to the national picture is apparent, as Roscommon goes about 120 cases in the last two weeks, with Longford now going above Cork and Galway. Clare is also seeing higher incidence, with a 70.7 rate in that time frame.

The new guidelines will limit two households coming together whether its in private homes or other settings. Meanwhile, NPHET has also advised Level 2 be extended Nationwide for the next 3 weeks, with Donegal and Dublin saying at Level 3.
