Netflix is launching a new TV channel which is being trialled in France.

Netflix Direct offers a scheduled service of Netflix programmed similar to a traditional TV channel.

The Verge reports that the new Netflix Direct rolled out in some parts of France from November 5th, and will expand to more areas in the country from next month.

In a statement announcing the trial, Netflix said:

“Maybe you’re not in the mood to decide, or you’re new and finding your way around, or you just want to be surprised by something new and different.”
