There's been no shortage of major events in 2020...in fact there's been too many, and it can be hard to rank them in order of significance.
But one way we can tell which moments captured the attention of the nation is by seeing how many people were watching.
And according to figures released from RTE, the most watched event on the channel so far this year was then-Taoiseach Leo Varadkar's emergency lockdown broadcast on St Patrick's Day - which was watched by a whopping audience of 1.4 million people plus.
Other Covid-19 related news items also dominated the list, but outside Room to Improve: Dermot's Home and Dancing With the Stars: the semi finals.
The Prime Time leaders' debate ahead of the general election also made the list with over 650-thousand viewers.
