This is GENIUS!
A popular Dublin pub has installed phones to encourage people to still mingle while keeping their social distance.
McGowan's in Phibsborough has fitted the phone system around the premises so people can still contact others while they're on a night out.
The nifty solution means that every table on the premises, as well as the bar, is connected to an internal phone system.
It allows people to give the bar a ring to place a fresh drinks order, say a quick hey if you spot the neighbours at another table or even call up the fella you have your eye on at another part of the bar. Management has also placed a handy phone directory at every table so you have no excuse not to say hey!
Reckon other pubs will follow suit?
