Boris Johnson says no official approach has been made by authorities to speak to Prince Andrew.

British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell has appeared in court in the US accused of luring underage girls so Jeffrey Epstein could sexually abuse them.

She's always denied any involvement but the FBI says she played a "critical role" in helping the late financier groom victims.

Meanwhile Britain’s Prince Andrew, who is a friend of the pair, says he has offered to cooperate in the investigation into Epstein.

Prince Andrew, who is a friend of Ghislaine Maxwell, says he’s "bewildered" by claims by US authorities that he hasn’t offered to co-operate with an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says no official approach has been made by the US authorities to speak to Prince Andrew.
