Oh dear.
A woman's attempt to have 'live love laugh' tattooed on her back in Irish hasn't quite panned out the way she'd hoped.
The tattoo in question has popped up in several places on the internet over the past 24-hours, including Irish Reddit -where people were (very) quick to point out that her tattoo doesn't say what she thought it did.
Here's the breakdown:
Beo: It can mean a live being which is sort of true but it also means live as in ‘live music’ which is well off.
Gráire: This means nothing. The word she would've wanted to use here is gáire (laughter).
Grá: Love, all good there.
So instead of 'Live Love Laugh', what we have is something along the lines of 'Alive lraugh? Love', not exactly what she would've hoped for!
And the Reddit comments section didn't exactly offer much sympathy:
''At least we know she’s alive'', one person said.
"The extra 'r' in Gáire is for 'really?!'" another wrote.
While someone else added: ''This is my new favourite saying''.
