Oh dear.
The trailer for a new Hollywood blockbuster set in Co. Mayo featuring Jamie Dornan, Emily Blunt, Christopher Walken and Jon Hamm has been released, and people are concerned.
The concerns don't lay over the plot or the scenery which both look great...it's the accents. Which appear to be on a Tom Cruise, Gerard Butler level.
The movie is set around Rosemary Muldoon (Blunt), who falls in love with Anthony Reilly (Dornan) before they get caught up in a dispute over farmland.
However after a listen to the trailer, neither of them seem to nail their accents... which is especially surprising for Jamie Dornan, considering he's from Belfast and all.
There’s fashion police
Grammar police
We even have airport police
Is there such a thing as accent police?
If so, somebody better call ‘em.

Walken probably does the best job when it comes to the accent, aside from Hamm...who plays an American.
Everything is subjective though, so have a watch of the trailer here and see what you think of the accents for yourself:
There is no Irish release scheduled at present, but Wild Mountain Thyme, which was filmed in Co Mayo, is due for release in cinemas and on demand in the US on December 11.
