Calculated grades were used this year instead of having written Leaving Cert exams in June.
The Department of Education says it is determined that the Leaving Cert exams will go ahead next year.
However it has admitted that it will also look at back up plans.
It has been announced that there'll be no second-level final year exams in Wales next year, because the pandemic is still disrupting things:

Some state exams in Scotland have been cancelled, while they have been pushed back in England and Northern Ireland.
