Instagram Reels can be shared on your feed, and can feature audio from the Instagram library or users own original music. It also features editing tools, effects, and a timer for hands free recording.
The new feature is set to be available for Irish users by this evening and will live on the apps 'Explore' section. You'll be able to create your own Instagram Reel through Insta stories.
Instagram Reels has been described as the social media apps answer to TikTok. The feature was first trialed in Brazil late last year and has already been rolled out in countries like France, Germany and India.
