It's spooky season.
If you're in the market for a good horror film in the build-up to Halloween, this list might come in handy.
A recent experiment has dubbed Insidious as the scariest of the lot. A study by Buzz Bingo measured how terrified people were watching different horror films. They ranked them by tension, the most scares and the biggest scare, Tyla reports.
For the most accurate reading, they measured the participant's heart rates throughout. They looked at their resting heart rate and their average heart rate while watching the films and compared the two.
Insidious topped the ratings overall but Annabelle: Creation actually had the biggest scares while The Conjuring 2 came on top in the 'most scares' ranking.
