The scenic Donegal village of Malin Head will now play host to some of the biggest names in Hollywood, as filming for an epic Viking movie 'The Northman' begins.
The Donegal Daily reports that a film crew has been spotted setting up operations on a beach.
Stars including Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawke, Bill and Alexander Skarsgård and even Icelandic singer Björk are all set to festure in the film., being directed by Robert Eggers.
The movie will be set in 10th century Iceland so naturally, which makes the natural untouched beauty of Malin Head an ideal spot for filming.
The Northman is expected to be released in 2022.
