The feel good movie was only released a few days ago.

Despite only dropping on  late last month, Holidate has already become a smash hit.

And it seems fans of the cheesy rom-com may soon be able to look forward to a sequel - despite the film only being a few days old.

While a second installment is yet to be confirmed by Netflix, Holidate's writer Tiffany Paulsen said during a recent interview with Vanity Fair that she would want to pick up the story from the end of the first film - where Jackson (Luke Bracey) takes Sloane (Emma Roberts) to his native Australia to spend New Year's.

"Don't you think Holimates is just a cute title?", she said. "HolimatesHolidate Down Under."

Shes added that: "I know exactly what that story will be and how we would explore it.

"I'm certainly hopeful. We hope that people love it and want to see more of this relationship. I think there's so much more to explore with Sloan and Jackson, because they've barely dated. They go on 11 dates in a year, and there's a lot to see where this goes. So we'll cross our fingers," she added.

And for those who haven't seen Holidate yet, it's definitely worth a watch if you're in need of something feel good.
