Cases continue to rise in parts of the US.
The number of people who have lost their lives to Covid-19 has passed half a million worldwide, according to figures from John Hopkins University.
At the time of writing 502,634 have died from the virus, with 10,180,816 confirmed cases.
The country worst hit by the pandemic remains the United States, where 128,471 have lost their lives amid 2,641,814 cases.
A rise in cases has also been reported across 36 states, with a number of states now having put a stop to their plans to further ease restrictions.
Meanwhile, the UK announced on Monday that 25 more people had died in relation to Covid-19, taking its death toll to 43,575.
This comes amid speculation that Leicester in England could become the first city in the UK to go into a local lockdown, as a result of a spike in Covid-19 cases.
In Ireland 1,735 people have lost their lives from 25,439 cases.
