Nooooooo.
About to head into its 17th season, Grey's Anatomy less of a show and more a lifestyle for those who've watched it from the beginning.
But all good things must come to an end, and in a recent interview with Variety, actor Ellen Pompeo, who plays Dr Meredith Grey, said that the show could finish for good after its current season.
"We don't know when the show is really ending yet. But the truth is, this year could be it," she said.
"I'm constantly fighting for the show as a whole to be as good as it can be. As a producer, I feel like I have permission to be able to do that.
"I mean, this is the last year of my contract right now. I don't know that this is the last year, but it could very well could be."
Pompeo, said she's even chatted to series creator Shona Rhimes about a potential ending for the show.
"I don't take the decision lightly," the actor said.
"We employ a lot of people, and we have a huge platform. And I'm very grateful for it. You know, I'm just weighing out creatively what can we do.
In terms of the upcoming new season, she said that this one is going to be one of the best yet.
"I'm really, really, really excited about this season. [17] probably going to be one of our best seasons ever. And I know that sounds nuts to say, but it's really true."
We hope it's true too! The new season is set to premiere on November 12, 2020.
