Appeal for information after woman dies in suspected hit and run in Galway

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Gardaí in Galway are appealing for information to a suspected fatal hit and run.

A woman in her 50s was found with serious injuries at around 7.30pm last night on the Barna to Spiddal Road in Furbo.

She was later pronounced dead at Galway University Hospital with a post mortem to take place at a later date.

Anyone with information, or has dashcam footage from the area between 6.15pm and 7.15pm are being asked to contact Gardaí in Salthill.
