Garda Covid-19 checkpoints may make a return tomorrow as the Government promises to step up enforcement measures.
Funding for Garda overtime has been secured as the whole country is placed under level three restrictions.
The Health Minister was last night not able to give a figure for how much money would be provided for Garda overtime, but assured they would not be left wanting.
President of the GRA Jim Mulligan outlines what he expects the measures will look like when they come into effect at midnight.
''We're assuming that there'll be some move towards that previous level of checkpoints and checking on business premises'', he said.
''It is a bit more difficult for our members then because they do still have to do the normal day-to-day policing''.
