It happened at around 3:30 this afternoon.
A teenage boy has died after being hit by a truck on Sheares Street in Cork City at around 3:30pm this afternoon.
He was taken to the Mercy Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
It's the second road fatality today after man in his 40s was killed in a single car crash on the N76 at Callan Co. Kilkenny this morning.
