More than a thousand flights to and from Beijing have been cancelled as authorities try to control rising numbers of Coronavirus cases.
Just over 100 cases have now been recorded there in recent days.
Before the recent spike, the Chinese capital had gone 57 days without a locally-transmitted case.
The new outbreak is thought to have started in a fish market. The massive Xinfandi food market supplies 80% of the city's meat and vegetables.
BBC News reports that at least 27 neighbourhoods nearby have been classed as medium risk while one has been defined as high risk.
As well as flights, railway services have been reduced until at least July 9th while primary school, middle school, and college classes have all been suspended.
