Enda Kenny's name has been thrown into the hat for big positions in Brussels before.
However despite the new vacancy following Phil Hogan's departure from the EU Commission, a different and much more unexpected career path has opened up for the former Taoiseach.
The ex Fine Gael Leader is going to be presenting a television series on RTÉ 1 about old Irish railways. Enda is a fluent Irish speaker and the series will be completely as Gaeilge.
It's been reported that Enda is a history buff and recently has developed a keen interest in railway history.
Mr. Kenny is said to be is having a blast visiting old railways all over the country.
According to the Irish-language news service, Tuairisc.ie, three episodes have already been filmed and are due for release in late 2020/early 2021.
