A drive-through trick or treat event is being organised for next month in Co. Westmeath.
The Halloween Drive Thru Trick or Treat Experience will take place in the Mullingar Equestrian Centre on October 30th and 31st is described as a 'one hour Halloween experience' which is suitable for all ages.
Families will stay in their cars for the duration of the event as ghosts, ghouls and witches offer tricks and treats through a two metre tube.
Organiser Philip McKeown says it will be a fun way for children to trick or treat safely.
''We're going to have lots of lights lots of special effects lots of different stuff'', he said.
''We've got together with a good few people from the events industry who are a little bit quiet at the moment, they've come on board to put on what's hopefully going to be a really fun event.
''In this Halloween land there's going to be designated spooky stop areas, where if people are brave enough they'll beep their horn and be greeted by a character who'll be giving out treats and the odd trick too''.
