Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of human remains on a beach in Co. Donegal.
The partial remains were found at Maghery near Dungloe at 18:30 on Thursday, the BBC reports.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardai at Milford Co Donegal are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of partial human remains on the coast at Maghery near Dungloe on Thursday, 25 June 2020.
"The discovery was made at approximately 6.30pm.
"The remains have since been removed the mortuary at Letterkenny Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
"The office of the State Pathologist has been notified''.
