Does this settle the argument once and for all?

Statistics from the CSO show that men got nearly twice as many penalty points for driving offences as women in Ireland last year.

The CSO says a total of 163,118 endorsement notices were issued to drivers in 2019 with 66% were given to men, and women accounting for only 34%.

Speeding was the most common offence for both genders, while over half a million drivers got penalty points last year.

The figures also showed that Irish licensed vehicles travelled a total of 47.1 billion kilometres last year and, on average, each private car travelled 16,352 kilometres

With a total of 2.2 million cars licensed, 113,305 (5.2%) of those were licensed for the first time in 2019.

While half of the almost 1.4 million cars that underwent the National Car Test (NCT) in 2019 failed the initial test
