The Covid-19 contact tracing app has been launched already 100,000 people have downloaded the app.
It works by identifying any close contacts of someone who has contracted the virus, with the goal of stopping the development of major clusters.

The Health Minister is happy with the uptake so far.
''It seems to be going really well, when I got in the car this morning it was 50,000, and I've just been told we're close to 100,000, he said.

The Republic of Ireland's official coronavirus death toll stands at 1,741, with 25,531 people having contracted the virus.
