The age and gender of the victim are yet to be revealed.

A body has been discovered in south Dublin.

Gardaí are currently at Blackrock park in south Dublin after remains were found there this morning.

The body remains at the scene and officers say a postmortem examination will determine the course of their investigation.

The age of the person and whether they are a man or a woman hasn't been confirmed.

Train services through nearby Booterstown station were suspended for a time this morning at the request of Gardaí.

However the line has since re-opened.
