Gardaí are currently at the scene at a residential property in South Dublin where the bodies of two children and an adult have been discovered.
The tragic discovery was made at a house in Ballinteer in the past few hours.
Officers had to force their way into the house, where they found the body of the woman and two children of primary school age.
The scene has been sealed off and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
