"Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021''.

The daughter of legendary wildlife warrior Steve Irwin, Bindi Irwin, has announced that she and her partner are expecting their first child.

In a snap shared on Instagram showing her standing alongside partner Chandler, she wrote: "Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we're expecting!

"It's an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I'm still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter.

"We couldn't wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us.

"Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes and prayers to our little sweetheart. Love and light."

Bindi and Chandler got married in March, less than five months ago, in a small ceremony at Australia Zoo.

She's the eldest child of the famous Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, who tragically died in 2006 aged 44 following an attack from a stingray while filming in the Great Barrier Reef.

Bindi, her mum Terri, and her younger brother Robert still keep Steve's vision alive by continuing to run Australia Zoo.
