We're so pumped for this!
In November 1999, Dr Dre released his second Studio Album 2001 which was multi platinum, not only in America, but right around the world.
It featured the singles Still Dre & The Next Episode (which both featured Snoop Dogg) Forgot About Dre (which featured Eminem) & The Watcher.
The album was intended to be released as a mixtape; with tracks linked through interludes and turntable effects, but was then changed to be set up like a film.
In 2006, Hip Hop Connection ranked 2001 number 10 on its list of the 100 Best Albums in Hip Hop.
Fans of that iconic album will love this news.
It is going to be performed in Galway... by an Orchestra!
It is nothing to do with Dr Dre & he won't be there on the night, but it will still be seriously amazing.
No Strings Attached are bringing a leading Orchestras from the UK to Carbon Nightclub in Galway to perform a complete rendition of the album and some of Dre’s west coast classics from start to finish. There will also be DJ's, singers, and lyricists.
It's a combination of a traditional Orchestra merging with a modern live hip-hop music event. It's taking place on Thursday the 15th of November.
