U2 are earning more than a whooping €5m for every single gig that the band plays, according to their tour promoter.

John Gidding, who is a music agent and promoter, has revealed U2 are his most famous clients and are one of the most highest paid performers in the world. Gidding was speaking as part of a BBC documentary called Hits, Hype & Hustle, which is an inside to his life and job.

U2’s recent record-breaking 360 Degrees tour grossed over €632m in 110 dates which means each and every night U2 play live generates a massive €5.6m income!!! Not bad at all for just one nights work.

The documentary, which airs tomorrow night on BBC Four at 9pm, will provide us with a glance of what goes on at an U2 concert as the cameras go behind the scenes at last year’s Joshua Tree tour to reveal the logistics behind the stage set-up.
