While the Rose of Tralee may take centre stage in Ireland tonight it's also one of the biggest nights in the music business, with the MTV Video Music Awards taking place.
Cardi B leads the way in nominations and is also expected to perform at the ceremony in New York City.
She'll be competing with Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Drake and Camila Cabello for the Artist of the Year prize.
Jennifer Lopez will also be honoured at the event, officially being presented with the Video Vanguard Award, as well as taking to the stage for a special performance.
