Those who have ever been shamed into silence, along with her fans are celebrating Taylor Swift's victory .
The pop star was groped by ex radio DJ David Mueller at a meet at greet at a concert in 2013.
He grabbed her bottom under her skirt.
Mr Mueller had originally tried to sue Taylor , saying that he had lost his job based on her claims: this was thrown out last week.
In a statement after the verdict, Taylor said
"I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this.
"My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves."
