Newcastle native Lee Ridley, aka 'Lost Voice Guy', won last night's live final of Britain's Got Talent.

The 37 year-old - whose cerebral palsy affects his ability to speak - uses pre-recorded sentences on a computer for his act.

Last night he appeared with a bandage on his face after an earlier fall and joked he'd had a face lift and it was 'almost as bad as Simon's.'

He's the first comedian to win the competition, beating bookie's favourite and fellow comic Robert White in second and singer Donchez Dacres in third place.

According to ratings, more than 8.5 million viewers tuned in to last night's final.

He wins a cash £250,000 prize and a spot at The Royal Variety Performance. Following the result, Ridley said he was 'very excited to perform in front of the Queen' and joked that  he 'loved her since she sang Bohemian Rhapsody.'
