Kanye West says he'd rather be known by the name 'Ye' from now on.
He's used the nickname for several years and it is also the title of the album he released in June.
The rapper made the announcement on Twitter before appearing on US sketch show Saturday Night Live.
Ye played 3 songs over the 90-minute show, including his a duet with Lil Pump on their collaboration 'I Love It', which the rappers performed dressed as water bottles.

He also teamed up with Teyana Taylor for 'We Got Love'.
However, it was his closing number that sparked controversy as he stepped out in a red 'Make America Great Again' cap while performing 'Ghost Town'.
After the show ended, West stayed onstage to give a speech praising Donald Trump and promising he would run for President in 2020, until producers cut the feed.
