Justin Timberlake is lucky to have avoided a possible criminal investigation.
The singer shared an Instagram picture of him voting in Memphis, Tennessee, with a message calling on people to head to the polls in the US presidential election next month.
Tennessee state law prohibits the taking of photographs or videos in a polling location - and Shelby County District Attorney's Office had said the matter of Justin's snap was under review.
However the District Attorney General later said her office had released an incorrect statement and the issue would not be investigated.
The image has since been removed from Justin's Instagram page.
