Meet Tim Chadwick:
Rising Irish star Tim Chadwick has just released his latest single 'Tell Me That'.
Remember his previous single?
This new melancholy pop song has a killer chorus that manages to be both modern and 80s-leaning at the same time.
Speaking about the single, Tim says “It’s about almost getting to the point of sacrificing a relationship for the happiness of the other person… Wondering whether you have somehow tricked someone into believing that you’re this amazing person who could never do wrong. I wrote it just after watching ‘Call Me By Your Name’, and I just couldn’t help be feel heartbroken for both the characters. So I think a part of their story has crept into the narrative of the song.”
Like his last single, ‘Weakness’, ‘Tell Me That’ was produced in Dublin by Diffusion Lab and mixed by John Foyle.
His debut EP ‘Early Days’ revealed a talent - fulsome, honest pop songs with a folk-edge, revealing a ear for a great hook.
After debuting a four-piece band at The Great Escape and Live At Leeds showcases earlier this year, Tim played a headline show at Dublin’s Unitarian Church on August 24th, before a slot at the Hard Working Class Heroes showcase in September, with further dates to follow.
Hear 'Tell Me That' each morning this week on iWork with Emma Nolan at approx. 10.35am, and again on IRL with Michaela Hayes at approx 7.35pm.
