The pair have been besties for decades.
Cher and Meryl Streep star together in Mamma Mia 2, which hits cinemas next month.
While chatting about the movie on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Cher revealed something about her friendship with Meryl.
They once saved a woman's life!
In 1983, the pair were in New York not long after Meryl had given birth.
They popped out to the shops and came across a "gigantic" man attacking a girl.
Cher claimed they both started screaming and ran at the man in an attempt to stop the assault.
They managed to distract him and he left the scene.
According to Cher, the girl quickly realised who her saviours were and was overjoyed:
"So we're putting her together, kind of trying to get her to look a little bit, you know, like she hasn't just been ravished, and she looks at us and goes, 'Oh my God! I've been saved by Meryl Streep and Cher! I'm an actress and I work in a cafe where we sing and all my friends are going to be so jealous!'"
